2022, it finally became possible to dispatch locally, so Fujishima and Dr. Yang went to Mongolia in July, and, Fujishima, Yazu, Fukagawa, Kawakita, and Aketa went to Vietnam in December. We have been engaged in international medical cooperation with local doctors. In Vietnam, at the Hai Ha Medical Center in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, together with Dr. Masashi Hattori of the Asian Prevention of Blindness Association and a local Vietnamese ophthalmologist, approximately 120 cases of cataract surgery (phacoemulsification and extracapsular extraction) were performed in two days. In addition, we were able to donate intraocular lenses, drugs, and eyeglasses that were kindly provided by a number of companies. In Mongolia, we were able to obtain information to prepare for eye examinations and cataract surgery in the future. In particular, we visited the Tovu provincial office and the Tovu provincial hospital together with the provincial governors. Reports from the person in charge of each activity is provided below. This year, in addition to overseas support in Vietnam and Mongolia, we would like to resume our activities in Indonesia.
2008年にスタートしたFFVの活動も2020〜21年はコロナパンデミックの影響で現地での海外支援に行く事はできませんでした。2022年はようやく現地派遣が可能という事で小生と楊浩勇でモンゴル、小生と矢津啓之、深川和己、川北哲也、明田直彦らでベトナムへ行き、現地医師らと国際医療協力を行ってきました。モンゴルでは今後の眼科検診と白内障手術に向けた下準備を行う事もできました。特に、トゥブ県県庁を訪問し、県知事らと共にトゥブ県病院を視察しましたが、最初の医療協力手術はウランバートル市から離れた、トゥブ県が良いと思いました。またベトナムではQuang Ninh省ハロン市のHai Ha医療センターにて、特定非営利活動法人アジア失明予防の会の服部匡志医師及び現地ベトナム人眼科医とともに、2日間で約120例の白内障手術（超音波水晶体乳化吸引術、水晶体囊外摘出術）を執刀しました。その際にはIOL、薬剤、眼鏡支援について多数の企業から寄贈を受け、提供することが出来ました。その辺の活動については担当者からの報告文があります。
今年度はベトナム、モンゴルの海外支援に加えて、インドネシアでの活動を再開したいと思っています。また、発足17年を迎え、公認NPO取得を目指しています。今後も引き続きご支援、ご指導のほどよろしくお願いいたします。
